HOLIDAY TRADITIONS WE CAN STILL KEEP ALIVE THIS 2020
There are still ways to make this the most wonderful time of the year!
2020 took a turn for all things. . . yeah, we don’t need a recap. Everything’s a lot more digital, distanced, and just a tad bit lonelier for some, especially during the season of merry gatherings.
Thankfully, holiday traditions bring familiarity, and familiarity brings comfort!
Some traditions, especially ones that require a big in-person gathering, would have to be put aside for now, but there are still some that we can celebrate in ways that are safer and maybe even more creative!
Here are the holiday traditions we can still keep alive this 2020:
1. Kris Kringles
Online shoppers, rise! You can still bring the gift-giving spirit to your zoom parties and enjoy the thrill of having a secret santa! There are a thousand exchange gift generators online, and of course, online marketplaces have made it possible to find exactly what you’re looking for and have it delivered right to your doorstep!
And hey, our Holiday Bundles might just be the gift you’re looking for!
2. Noche Buena
What makes Christmas festive is the feast -- anyone who disagrees has never had a bite of bibingka or putobumbong. The Noche Buena tradition is highly celebrated in the Philippines, and all it really requires is good food, a couple of games, and the presence of your loved ones.
A Lab Tip: keep the company small (to be safe!), but keep the food on the table full!
3. Decking the halls (house)!
The holiday is what & where you make it! Just ‘cause there are no big gatherings this year, it doesn’t mean you can’t go all-out on the decors you’ve been wanting to pull out of your basement since September. Deck your halls with boughs of holly, and have the merry time you deserve!
4. Santa’s coming to town!
To our Beautiful parents with kids who still believe in Santa Claus, now more than ever, don’t crush the dream that a holly jolly figure whose sole purpose is to give them gifts truly exists! If your kids made it to the “nice” list, then sneaking in their gifts at night would make for a splendid Christmas morning!

For the simple reason that, in the Philippines, it’s just mandatory to listen to and sing ‘Christmas In Our Hearts’ with everything you’ve got. On behalf of Strokes, please don’t let this tradition die down no matter what!
From the Lab with love, have a holiday as beautiful as you, Beautiful!
